About The Conference-
Academic libraries are the effective learning centre for students, scholars and teachers for learning, education, teaching and research.  Most of the resources in all areas of learning are being made available as e-resources in recent times by various e-publishers. E-Resource is the innovative platform for academic institutions to provide instant access to information resources. E-resource packages on various subjects are now available for access on many models such as subscription basis, pay and use, open access, consortium, etc. These packages are being made available by thousands of e-publishers worldwide on various models. They impose complicated copyright and licensing restrictions for access and download. They do not have any uniform policy to offer. There are many non-profit making organizations which publish thousands of e-journals on open access models to promote scholarly research.
In this context, library professionals should know various aspects of e-resources management such as e-resource packages offered by national and international publishers, subscription and access models, copyright and licensing restrictions, download, cost and discounts, archival of resources, etc. LIS professionals should be able to identify the genuine and predatory publishers and their resources. LIS professionals have to explore and learn new technologies, methods and practices to improve the way we collect, manage, maintain, and make accessible e-resources in an ever-changing digital environment.
