Librarian

Age - Preferably below 57 years
Essential Qualifications:
1. A Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science /documentation with atleast 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and consistently Good Academic Record. i.e. Candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in each of the two public examination / degrees immediately preceding the Master’s degree.
2. 13 years of experience as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 18 years of experience as a college librarian.
3. Consolidated API Score as per the UGC regulation 2016 (4th Amendment)
4. Evidence of Innovative Library service and organization of published work.
Or
1. Deputy Librarian completing service of three years in the AGP of Rs.9000/- and otherwise eligible as per conditions prescribed by the UGC and if any by the University.
Desirable:-
M.Phil. / Ph.D. degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript keeping.

Deputy Librarian
Pay Scale-Rs. 15600-39100 + GP Rs. 8000
Age-Not exceeding 50
Essential Qualifications:
1. A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/documentation with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and consistenly Good Academic Record. i.e. Candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in each of the two public examination/degrees immediately preceding the Master’ Degree.
2. 5 years of experience as Assistant Librarian in a University Library or a college library or equivalent.
3. Consolidated API score as per the UGC regulation 2016.
4. Evidence of Innovative Library service and organization of published work and professional commitment.
5. Good Knowledge of computer applications.
Desirable:
M.Phil/Ph.D. degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation/Archives and Manuscript keeping/ Computerizing of library.

Professional Assistant (Library)
Pay Scale-Rs. 9300-34800+GP. Rs. 4200
Age- Not exceeding 35 years
Essential Qualifications:

 i) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Information science.
ii) Five years relevant experience in a University / College Library.
(OR)
i) Any Master’s Degree with a Diploma in Library Science / Master’s Degree in Library Science
ii) Two years relevant experience in a University/ College library 

Semi  Professional Assistant (Library)Pay Scale- Rs. 5200-20200+GP.Rs. 2800
Age-Not exceeding 30 years
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science/Information science with two years relevant experience in a University/College Library.
2. Knowledge of Computer Application.
Desirable
1. Mater in Library & Information Science/ Master in Library Science or Equivalence.
2. PG Diploma in Library Automation and networking or PGDCA.
3. Experience of working in Library in University / NIT

Library Assistant

Pay Scale- Rs. 5200-20200+GP.Rs. 2000
Age-Not exceeding 30 years
Essential Qualifications:
i) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Information science.
ii) Two years relevant experience in a University/ College / Institute library
