(i) Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scales and a consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations.
(ii) At least 13 years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in a university library or 18 years’ experience as a College Librarian.
(iii) Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff and Measure for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010.
OR
Deputy Librarian completing service of three years in the AGP of Rs. 9000 and otherwise eligible as per the API scoring system and PBAS methodology developed in UGC Regulations, 2016 (4th Amendment) with a Ph.D.
Desirable:(ii) At least 13 years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in a university library or 18 years’ experience as a College Librarian.

Application Processing Fee:
Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only – non-refundable) for General and OBC Candidates in favour of “Indian Law Institute’ payable at New Delhi either by Demand Draft or through Online Payment Gateway from Institute’s website www.ili.ac.in. Candidates are requested to attach printout of Payment Response Page along with application form, if fee paid online. SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) and Women candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

Note- Applicants

ILI/Admn./2016/001 dated 01.05.2016, need not apply again. However, they
have to mandatorily submit their updated credentials and API scores as
