TCS Information Resource Center (IRC) Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Odisha Library Academy announces the 4th edition of "Soference" to be held on Saturday, 2nd December 2017.
SoFerence is a bi-annual conference organized by TCS IRC for sharing experience on Library and Information Science (LIS) and related areas.
First two editions of SoFerence were held at TCS Bangalore in 2011 and 2013 in collaboration with Karnataka State Library Association (KALA).Third edition of SoFerence was organized at TCS, Hyderabad in collaboration with Academy of Library Science and Documentation (ALSD) in 2015.
This year's theme is "Digital by Default: Make Yourself Future Ready"
SoFerence 2017 invites unpublished and original papers from LIS Professionals, Students, Research Scholars, Content Managers, Information Managers, Publishers, ECM/KM Professionals, Academicians and others on case studies, success stories, best practices and lessons learnt on the following topics but not restricted to:
1. Analytics/Big data Application in LIS
2. Data Science and Visualization
3. Disruptive Innovation and Technology
4. Internet of Things and Libraries
5. Cloud Computing and its Impact on Library Services
6. Social Media and Social Networking Services for Library
7. Plagiarism and Reference/Citation Management Tools
8. Evaluating Library Services and Quality (LibQUAL/SERVQUAL, Gap Analysis)
9. Web Learning and open source Learning Management System
10. Seeking Impact and Visibility of Scholarly Communications
Last date for completed paper submission: October 15, 2017
