Library Assistant and Library Trainees in Nalanda University, Rajgir

Nalanda University, Rajgir is an Institution of National Importance, established by an Act of the Indian Parliament (i.e. The Nalanda University Act 2010) and supported by the East Asia Summit participating countries. The Nalanda University Library is aims to become an apex resource center with the state-of-the-art resources (print and digital) and services. The library is committed to excellence in services and supporting intellectual inquiry, research and lifelong learning needs of the University community.
Nalanda University invites applications from eligible candidates for Library Assistant and Library Trainees purely on temporary basis for a period of 01 Year for Library Assistant and 06 Months for Library Trainee. The tenure of service may be extended on the same terms and conditions for a further term, depending upon need and performance. The details regarding positions are as under:

Library Trainee	Post-graduate in Library & Information Science (M. Lib &, Inf. Sc.) with a minimum of 55% marks. The candidate shall have basic knowledge of computer and preferably working knowledge of library software and latest ICT in library science.	1	25	25,000

Selection of candidate will be based on personal interview/test. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. The selected candidates will have to work in different shifts and weekends on rotation basis. Certificate of experience will be issued to those who complete at least three months of service.
