NBRC National Seminar (NNS)- 2019

The aim of this seminar is to encourage the sharing of knowledge on a range of topics : e-learning, learner support, open access, interoperability, digital libraries, metadata, information literacy, new technologies, role and status of librarians and their developments etc. 
Seminar is planned to bring together Library and Information Science Professionals, Academicians and Educationalists in the field of Library and Information Science, Knowledge Centre, Information Centre to create an environment to discuss the need to transform the Libraries, Roles being played by the Library Professionals in transforming the Libraries and to discuss the challenges being faced by Libraries in transforming the Libraries by presentations, discussions, exchange of views and sharing of experiences.

The DBT's Electronic Library Consortium (DeLCON), & National Brain Research Centre, Manesar is organizing a one-day National Seminar on "Enhancing the Role of the Library with New Tools for Teaching and Learning" on 2nd August 2019, (Friday). 

Now, the libraries act as Information Centres, Knowledge Centres, Resource Centres and providing information to their user community using latest technology. The major role and biggest challenges of Libraries and LIS professionals are preparing professionals to use technology effectively and systematically. The library and LIS professionals have been consistently involved with the information storage and retrieval, collection development, systematic organization of reading materials and digital information for the Users Communities. The role of library science professionals to provide correct information in the correct time for the appropriate users with different styles of skills and capability. This seminar will support to the library professionals in terms of how the practices and procedures in library and information science, education meet the need of the actual working environment as well as beat the challenges of Libraries & LIS professionals

Registration:There is no registration fees for attending the Seminar. Free Registration. Limited Seats. (On first-cum-first serve basis). 

Procedure for Registration : The Seminar is open to Professionals such as Academicians, Faculties, Scientists, Library Communities, Library Professionals, Information Scientists, DeLCON Members & Nodal Officers, Research Scholars & Students of Library & Information Science. Registration can be sent by post to given address or by email attachment at delconconsortium@gmail.com in the given prescribed format which is available at DeLCON Website at http://delcon.gov.in

For participation, registration is mandatory. An email confirmation will be sent to Registered participants.Only registered participants will be allowed to take part in this Seminar & provided a Participation Certificate, Conference Kit, Lunch and Tea.

No TA/DA will be paid to the Participants for attending this workshop.

No accommodation will be arranged for participants by the organizers. However, we will help in arranging Guest House / Hotel accommodation in nearby places. The last date for registration to the NNS Seminar is July 20th 2019.
