Online Application Form for June 2021 UGC-NET (both UGC-NET Dec. 2020 & June 2021 merged)


Opening of the online portal for submission of Online Application Form for June 2021 UGC-NET 

Due to postponement of December 2020 UGC-NET in view of COVID-19, the schedule of June 2021 UGCNET has been delayed. In order to regularize the UGC-NET examination cycles, the National Testing Agency (NTA), with the concurrence of UGC, has merged both UGC-NET of December 2020 and June 2021 cycles so that they be conducted together in CBT mode. The Application process is therefore being reopened for the new applicants to fill in and submit their forms. 

The candidates who have registered for UGC-NET of December 2020 cycle but have not been able to complete the application process, can also complete and submit the application form online on the website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in , www.nta.ac.in during the period specified below.


Relaxation in Age Limit of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for June, 2021 UGC-NET cycle 

In continuation to the Public Notice dated 10th August 2021 for submission of online application form of June 2021 UGC-NET for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’, it is hereby informed that the following age limit for JRF will be applicable for this current examination only i.e. June, 2021 UGC-NET cycle: 

1. JRF: Not more than 31 years as on 01.10.2021 (October 1, 2021). (This age limit is applicable for the current examination only). A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC-NCL (as per the Central list of OBC available on website: www.ncbc.nic.in)/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates with research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant / related subject of postgraduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority, which should be a recognized Indian university / Institute of National Importance / foreign university which is duly approved / recognized / accredited in its own Country / Public Sector Undertaking of Government of India / State Government in India. The research should not have been carried out towards completion of graduation or postgraduation degree(s). Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates with L.L.M. degree. A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces upto the first day of the month in which the concerned UGC-NET is concluded. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances. 

2. Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor. The schedule of June 2021 UGC-NET is as follows: 

  • Online registration and submission of Application Form (complete in all respect) through NTA Website: https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in 10 August to 05 September, 2021 (upto 11:50 pm) 
  • Last date for successful transaction of Examination fee 06 September, 2021 (upto 11:50 pm) 
  • Correction in the Particulars of Application Form online only 07 September to 12 September, 2021
