WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR LIBRARY PROFESSIONAL TRAINEE AND LIBRARY APPRENTICE
The Central Library of the National Institute of Science Education & Research (NISER) is planning to recruit Library Professional Trainees (LPT) and Library Apprentices (LA). The selected candidates will get hands-on experience of working in different sections of the Library. The LA are recruited under the guideline of the Board of Practical and Training (BoPT) (East Region), Kolkata
1. Post Name: Library Professional Trainee (Temporary)
No. of Positions: 4 (Four)
Duration: 2 Years
Essential Qualification First class in Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc) from a
recognized Indian Universities/ Institute
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of computer applications in the library.
Age Limit: 26 years as of last date of online form submission
Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 18,000/- per month with no additional perk.
Reporting Date and Venue: 30th January 2023 (Monday) at 8.30 AM, Venue: Lecture Hall, Library

2. Post Name Library Apprentice (under BoPT)

Essential Qualification Bachelor of Library & Information Science (BLISc) from a recognized
Indian Universities/Institute and passed out after January 2020.
Desirable Qualification Science graduates with computer proficiency will be given preference.
Age Limit: As per the BoPT rules
Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 14,000/- per month with no additional perk.
Reporting Date and Venue: 31st January 2023 (Tuesday) at 8.30 AM, Venue: Lecture Hall, Library
